There are many ‘work from home‘ scams, but are at least some of the training courses for medical transcription on the up and up? How is finding employment afterwards? What are your experiences?
I’m asking for my Mom- a retired RN, who has years of previous medical experience.

I think it’s difficult to get the "in home" jobs without the "real world" experience. It all sounds good, but a lot of it is hype, I’m afraid. Also, it takes a lot of expensive equipment to get started.
my mother did this for twenty years. she got paid fairly well. the only problem she had was doctors who mumbled.
however, these days, the recording equipment is much better.
yeah, she made a good living at it. but..i would check around for jobs first and see what they pay, before i paid for a class.
