Please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools (may have ‘bricks and mortar’ buildings and may be ‘accredited’) such as penn foster, career step, university of phoenix, strayer, ITT tech, kaplan, US career, sanford brown, everest, walden, ashworth, remington, argosy, devry, stratford career, ashwood, colorado tech, ashford, keiser and others as they are merely out to ‘make a profit’ (and course credits may Not transfer to other schools): http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search.

I do agree with the other postee that there aren’t supposed to be too many jobs for the MT (or medical biller or coder or medical assistant) despite what those private $$ for-profit tech schools proclaim.

Please also be aware that just about all of those online/’work-at-home’ jobs are a scam especially if asking for money upfront or for personal information which may put one at risk for identity theft: http://www.ftc.gov and can click ‘identity theft’ or such.

For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search.

You have picked a job where the demand is declining because more medical and dental professionals are converting to voice recognition software.
