I am a medical transcriptionist and have never heard of transcribing from images. We are not trained to interpret clinical findings or diagnostics. The medical providers dictate what went on during an office visit, operation, etc. and we put what was said into words. Sometimes we may have to edit what was said due to dictation error.

Many transcriptionists also do quality control editing and voice recognition editing.

Medical imaging transcription require training in X-Ray, MRI, CAT-scan, Electro-gram, Echo-cardiogram, etc. An ordinary person is not train in this field. Will you able to read a X-ray and transcribe the findings? If you do, you are a genius!

Never heard of that. Been a transcriptionist going on 7+ years. Maybe they are talking about ASR or speech recognition. I really don’t know.
