Does anyone know where to look for at home medical transcription jobs?

Pay attention your local hotels banquet space. They hold a lot of their meetings in hotels.

You can look in the newspapers, or call around to some Dr’s offices to see if they need transcriptionist and allow them to work at home. Also, you can look in the yellow pages and a lot of people have transcription companies that hire out transcriptionists to work out of their home, they get a small portion of what you make. Like if you get 12 cents a line they may take 2 cents. Hospitals may be of some help too.

Do you have a medical transcriptionist degree/certificate?

Most states require you to have a degree/certificate before you get a job. I earned my certificate at a Junior College in Chicago (56 hours) in 1986. I worked as a medical transcriptionist in hospitals for a couple of years.

If you have undergone training and have your degree/certificate and are looking to work from HOME then YOU have to solicit your own clients. You need to market yourself to doctors.

If you live in a large city, an easier way to go would be to work as a medical transcriptionist in a hospital. In Chicago, most of the transcriptionist work in hospitals now are handled by the larger medical transcriptionist companies. After I worked for one in a hospital, they allowed me to work from home on my own computer. You need to have your degree/certificate, at least one years experience and YOUR OWN COMPUTER.

In smaller cities/towns and rural areas you need to go directly to the doctors.
