Although, some companies will hire people with little to no experience, it is a very unusual occurrence. First, think of what makes you want to be a medical transcriptionist. All dreams start with a vision, hope, or expectation of some kind. A career in medical transcription can give you everything you need as far as job security, money, and freedom. You can also check Monster, CareerBuilder, and Craigslist for some current openings. Call around and ask some of the doctors’ offices in your area if they are in need of a medical transcriptionist. Be sure to also submit your resume online when looking through job listings. You should also be prepared to submit quite a few applications online when you find the list of medical transcription companies that hire people to work from home.

Remember not to be picky when applying for a position. Your main goal is to find employment. Always make sure you submit a very professional-appearing resume highlighting your strengths. When talking to potential employers over the phone, try your best to remain professional, calm, and well-mannered. When the time is right, you will gain the position you are looking for.
