My name is Kate Delaney and I'm from Illinois. I created this site to share my story about how I made a mid-life career change that changed my life.
I went from being a high school graduate with a series of low paying jobs, and even some time on unemployment, to becoming a professional with a stable and well-paying career.

Depends on whether you want to work for a company or be an independent contractor. Both can be at-home businesses. Check out http://www.mtjobs.com for job listings and you can even post your resume. Most of the companies listed allow for at-home work and many will supply you with all the hardware/software. All you would need to supply is the internet connection.

You should start looking for companies that are in need of new employees. Or you can start your own business. Try advertising your skills everywhere, on local newpaper, craigslist, etc. You also need to decide on how much you want to charge and how much the market would pay. Do some research and find out how other medical transcription businesses did it.
