		<description>They usually pay &quot;per page&quot; by 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, etc., from what I understand, so that&#039;s not a great way to average work, either.  And, once again, that&#039;s going to be very dictator specific if you&#039;re trying to come up with an equivalent hourly wage.  Are they H&amp;Ps?  Ops?  If they&#039;re no-heading clinic notes, that&#039;s a lot of words on a page.  

I like getting paid by the line.  It&#039;s more cut/dried.  I also have a job that pays by the minute of dictation, and it&#039;s a curse or a blessing, depending on the hem-hawing &quot;change that&quot; dictators or the speed demons.</description>
