Right now i’m taking an on line class to be a transcriptionist. I’ve been working on it since november and I love it. Its all work at your own pace and i should be done by the end of the summer. I paid for the course upfront and it was like 1800 total i think.

The school is certified and they help you find a job after you finish the course. I’m really happy with it and dont regret anything. They can send you free brochures if you want and they don’t like flood your mailbox. I think I got like 3 in all before i signed up. I talked to alot of women who have already finished the course and most of them have jobs so it shouldn’t be that hard to find them. Heres my email if you have anymore questions. I’d be happy to help

I would look through out this site as this question is asked dozens of times. Be aware that transcription is becoming a slow dinosaur–being taken over by outsourcing and EMR (electronic medical records). EMR is a federal mandate so it will not go away.
If you are good in medical terminology and have a good LC then try this career! I am an MT and you should and it is pretty hard to maintain a clear and coherent mind after being in this career for long time! so be smart choose wise !! Have a wounderful future !
Yes it is a good career to work from home…I think it’ll be in demand for years to come…I am taking online classes for medical transcription through Ashworth college..its a credited school..its the cheapest school I found so far…its $994 but there offereing $100 off right now so its 894…It is a self paced school so you can get done as little as a few months and they’ll give you up to 2 years…if you like this school email me we will both get $50 off out tuition..good luck!
