Is it possible to make a decent living working at home as a in ? Is this kind of work consistent or only on call? If I would be interested in this, where would you recommend I sign up?

The majority of work-at-home ‘jobs’ are scams especially if asking for money upfront or personal info which can put one at risk for identity theft: http://www.ftc.gov and can click on term.

I’m not sure about training in Canada but for general career information for those in the US: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ‘medical transcriptionists’ or such.

Please consider the more affordable schools such as the county vo-tech school or community college as long as it’s accredited within the industry.

Please also forgo those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, us career, capella, university of phoenix, strayer, devry, kaplan and others: http://www.capellauniversitysucks.us

http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search.

I was a home based transcriptionist for 13 years. You can be a back-up or full time worker. It all depends on how hard you want to work.

There are real jobs on the website below. Also, lots of info on training as well. Not affiliated with any school, just good info.
