"Medical transcriptionists listen to dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals and transcribe them into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material. They generally listen to recordings on a headset, using a foot pedal to pause the recording when necessary, and key the text into a personal computer or word processor, editing as necessary for grammar and clarity."
-Per this website: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos271.htm

I’ve been looking into medical transcription as well. What the quote says above is what they do. LOL. You just type what the doctor says in a recorded message for documentation and stuff.

That website has all the information you want. Generally, they make anywhere from 9 to 15 bucks an hour. So, they make decent money.

You can work from home.

Hope this helps!

Medical Transcription is the keyboarding (into a typewriter or computer) of reports from dictation recorded by a doctor or health professional pertaining to medical information.

Tons more on the website below.
