The speed are by WPM (Word per minute).
When typing a line, how fast did it take according to the WPM?
Do you know that you not going to make much money on medical transcriptionist? Did you ask how much you going to get paid per line? I did and they told me that I get 1 cent each line.
If there is 55 line in each paper, I getting 55 cents per page.
You would have to be the fast typer to make an average of $5.50+ an hour. To me it is a hype work at home job trap, it is legit but not satisfying for career.
It would be cheaper to work for a data entry then to pay college and your hours to work for a minumum paying job regardless what the ads say about annual income. The ads is misleading and doesn’t say the truth about income.
If company were to pay 3 cents each line, I wouldn’t have complain. It is ridiculous when company that collect doctor’s recorded audio memo that they going to be cheap about labour cost. The labour are people like you who has taken the college time and cost to do it.
I have seen plenty of post for this career and people say it pays well, you probably may want to type in medical transcription in yahoo answers and read some old post.
