I am currently taking a self-paced course to become a medical transcriptionist through Penn Foster. So far, it’s pretty basic. Anyway, I have heard so many good things about being a medical transcriptionist. The pay is good and you have the option to work at home which I love because when my fiancee and I start having kids, we will still have 2 incomes. I just wanted to know if there was anybody out there who could tell me the pros and cons of this occupation. Thanks!

I did MT from home for 13 years. It was great to have the ability to tend to things at home while still making a living.
Pros – you can work and still have a life.
Cons – it’s sedentary work, has to get done despite home issues.
Even though you’re in a school, you need to read the online guide to becoming a transcriptionist at the website below. Read it now.
